The call

It behaves like a phone call.

The app puts the conversation through iOS as a real call. Lock the phone and it keeps running. The controls sit on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, and the button on your AirPods or your steering wheel hangs up.

  • Answer, mute and hang up without unlocking.
  • The timer and the credits left stay visible while you use other apps.

Action cards

They prepare it. You tap it.

Ask for the song and the card carries the link. Agree on a time and the card is a calendar entry. A text, a place, a note: the character writes it during the call, and one tap opens it in Messages, Calendar, Maps, Spotify or Notes.

When you hang up, what the character prepared is waiting on the summary, along with what the call cost.

Memory

Tell one character. They all know.

Say your sister is called Anna and you are learning Spanish. The next character you call knows both, and so does the one after that. You do not introduce yourself twice.

What they remember is a list you can open. Delete a single line, or clear the whole thing. Nothing in it leaves your account.

Web search

They can look it up while you talk.

Ask what the flight costs today, who won last night, whether the shop is still open. The character searches the web in the middle of the call and answers with what it found, rather than with what it learned a year ago.

Someone sends you a character link. You get a minute with that character without installing anything and without an account.

A day after a call, the character can send one short reminder. You decide whether it may, and you can turn it off again.

A minute costs 60 cents.

Short answers.

What does it cost?

One credit per second, 60 credits a minute, about 60 cents. Credits come in packs: 500 for $5, 2,200 for $20, 6,000 for $50. No subscription is required and credits do not expire. A new account starts with 300 free credits.

Can I interrupt a character?

Yes. Start talking and it stops, the way a person does. You never wait for a sentence to finish.

What do you store?

Your email, your credit balance, the facts characters learned about you, and a written transcript of each call, which we check for abuse. The details are in the privacy policy. Read the privacy policy.

How do I delete what a character remembers?

Open Memory in the app. Delete one line or clear all of it, and the characters no longer know it. Deleting your account removes the rest.

Do the characters share what I tell them?

With each other, yes, inside your account: tell one that your sister is called Anna and the next one knows. Nothing goes to other people.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. You must be 18 or older to use Breezy. The App Store lists it as 17+, and the characters swear, flirt and talk about adult subjects.

Does it work on Android?

In the browser, yes, on any current phone. There is no Android app yet.

Does the App Clip need an account?

No. Someone sends you a character link, you talk for a minute, and nothing is installed and nothing is signed up for.
